BOLD Portal (authorized personnel only)

The overall goal of the BOLD Registry is to establish a sustainable registry to evaluate prospectively the effectiveness, safety, and cost-effectiveness of interventions for patients over age 65 with low back pain.

The BOLD Registry is a study of the outcomes of patients, across the United States, 65 and older seeking medical care for a new episode of low back pain. Patients who enroll in the registry will complete validated, standardized measures of:

functional disability
health-related quality of life

The target enrollment for the registry is 5,000 patients, which will allow the study of efficacy, safety, and cost effectiveness of treatments and care of low back pain. The BOLD registry provides a foundation for important studies of low back pain.
